In an era where green screens dominate action sequences, Karan’s decision to execute this breathtaking moment without VFX has set social media abuzz. In the clip, the actor is shown dangling mid-air off the dam’s massive structure, bringing a level of authenticity and intensity rarely seen in Indian web series. Taking to Instagram, Karan wrote, “Yes, that’s me dangling off one of the highest dams in the world. This stunt was personal — I’ve lived with a fear of heights all my life, and this I HAD to do for myself. Grateful to an incredible team of stunt professionals who gave me the confidence to quite literally put my life in their hands.”
The sequence has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about moments from the second season of Special Ops, with fans and fellow actors applauding Karan’s fearlessness and commitment to staying real.
Created and directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Ops is a Hindi-language action espionage thriller for JioHotstar, co-directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Friday Storytellers. The series follows Himmat Singh (played by Kay Kay Menon), a senior RAW agent who assembles a team of five undercover operatives to track down the elusive mastermind behind multiple terror attacks across India. Karan Tacker plays Farooq, one of the core team members whose missions often require him to blend into the shadows — or, as seen this season, hang off 270-meter-high dams.
