In a film industry where glitz and glamour often take centre stage, music icon Arijit Singh has carved a place in hearts not just for his soulful voice but for the way he lives his life — with simplicity, humility, and a deep commitment to service. Two-time National Award-winning producer Mahaveer Jain, celebrated for crafting heartfelt, family-centric stories, recently spoke to Bollywood Hungama about the personalities who inspire him the most — and Arijit Singh topped the list.

“It’s hard to pick one, but for his immense positive influence on youth, Arijit Singh tops my list. He deserves admiration not just from me, but from the entire nation,” Jain shared when asked about today’s young generation. For Jain, Arijit’s magic goes far beyond music. “His voice is a gift, but it’s his character that’s extraordinary. He’s simple, humble, honest — untouched by the trappings of stardom. No race for luxury, no hunger for material gains — only the desire to create meaningful work and spread joy. Arijit is wise, sincere, and selfless, with a pure heart and deep empathy. He gives back quietly, without fanfare, and lives by seva bhaav (selfless service),” Jain explained.
The producer admires how Arijit remains “beyond ego, jealousy, and greed”, placing faith in a higher power, his parents’ and Guru’s blessings, and treating success lightly. “His compassion extends to people, animals, and nature — even his hometown, which he dreams of making a model for the nation. He’s open to learning, non-manipulative, and devoted to his family. A minimalist, spiritual man who embodies ancient wisdom,” Jain said.
The bond is personal for Jain, who feels deeply impacted by knowing the singer, “Absolutely. Knowing him personally has been a blessing. His definition of success is about uplifting others, not personal gain. In a noisy world, he seeks silence; in a culture of taking, he gives. That’s why I call him the brother the world needs. Another noble soul I must mention is Vikrant Massey, with whom I’ve shared many meaningful moments.”
As for what’s next, Mahaveer Jain has an exciting slate ahead — including White, an international thriller inspired by a true event from Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s life starring Vikrant Massey; NaagZilla with Kartik Aaryan; Side Heroes with Imtiaz Ali; and a jungle adventure which is being made by none other than Arijit Singh.
