After Saiyaara, it’s Mahavatar Narsimha that’s creating waves all over. One would have expected it to settle down in the third week as it has already done phenomenally well in the first week. I am using the term “settle down” instead of “slow down” because usually films do see a dip when there has been such kind of terrific momentum for so long. However, given the kind of trending that this Indian animation film has seen, settling down was more apt since one would expect the collections to stay around the same levels as last couple of days.
However, in case of Mahavatar Narsimha, it’s neither about settling down nor slowing down, but instead a growing phase since yet again there was an increment in collections evidenced. The film had seen Rs. 3.70 crores on Thursday and now on Friday, the collections have gone up all the way again, what with Rs. 4.70 crores coming in. This is still more than three times the opening day collections and for that to happen on the 15th day is unbelievable and unfathomable.
Overall collections of the Hindi version now stand at Rs. 89.14 crores and if the trending turns out to be similar as last week then Rs. 100 Crore Club entry could take place today itself. It’s running at the highest count of screens currently and none of the holdover or new releases are anywhere close to what the mythological action drama is collecting.
This one is a bonafide BLOCKBUSTER.
