Priyanka Chopra Jonas took a sentimental trip down memory lane on Thursday as she shared a throwback clip of her fiery dance number Ram Chahe Leela from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 magnum opus Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. In her post, Priyanka shared her thoughts on the emotional and creative experience behind the iconic performance.

Reflecting on her initial hesitation, she wrote, “When Sanjay Sir came to me with this song, it was a complicated decision, but he, as a filmmaker, has always inspired me.” She further reminisced about the many conversations they shared—about art, music, food, and stories of yesteryear—and how all of it culminated in one moment when she heard the song and instantly connected with the character. “I knew I was her,” she added.
Priyanka also highlighted the contribution of cinematographer Ravi Varman, whose visuals enhanced the song’s impact, and choreographer Vishnu Deva, with whom she rehearsed during lunch breaks to perfect each step. Calling it a creatively fulfilling experience, she said the memory of filming the track still lingers warmly in her heart.
The post quickly drew admiration from across the film industry. Dia Mirza called her a true owner of the moment, while Bhumi Pednekar hailed her as a queen working with the maestro. Amala Paul appreciated the timeless swag of her performance, and singer Bhoomi Trivedi expressed her happiness in being part of the iconic number.
