After much anticipation, Yash Raj Films finally unveiled the trailer of its high-octane spy thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The trailer, released two months after the teaser, quickly took social media by storm, with fans and celebrities alike reacting with excitement ahead of the film’s release on August 14.

Among the first from Bollywood to cheer for the trailer was filmmaker Karan Johar, who called it a “Blockbuster loading” on his Instagram Stories. Alia Bhatt, who is also set to headline YRF’s upcoming female-led spy thriller Alpha, reacted to the trailer by calling it “Mazedar!” She added, “See you on 14th in a cinema near me,” hinting at her own excitement as a viewer.

Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who is married to War 2’s leading lady Kiara Advani, also shared the trailer on his Instagram. Tagging director Ayan Mukerji, he wrote, “Counting down to see this one,” and added, “Can’t wait to see @kiaraaliaadvani in her action avatar and the two titans @hrithikroshan and @jrntr.”

Beyond the trailer’s fanfare, War 2 is poised to set a cinematic benchmark with its global release in Dolby Cinema® format. The film will be the first Indian movie to debut in Dolby Cinema in India, beginning with the City Pride Multiplex in Kharadi, Pune. It will also be released in Dolby Cinema theatres in regions like North America, the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and more.

Combining Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos®, the film promises to immerse audiences in stunning visual clarity and multidimensional sound, redefining the moviegoing experience. Michael Archer of Dolby Laboratories called this a “landmark moment,” noting that War 2 continues a decades-long collaboration with YRF that began with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995 and includes Dhoom:3 and the Best of YRF Dolby Atmos music album.
