Tabu made a resplendent appearance recently in a custom creation by designer Abhishek Sharma, styled for an evening appearance by Natasha Vohra. Her ensemble featured a Rs 3,50,000 saree that merged traditional craftsmanship with contemporary couture. Rendered in a soft yet gleaming tissue Chanderi, the saree showcased a harmony of textile artistry and embellishment, making a case for gold as a standout red carpet shade.

Crafted Luxury in Chanderi and Pearls
The saree itself was handwoven in tissue Chanderi, a lightweight yet rich fabric known for its subtle sheen. It was designed to catch the light without overwhelming the viewer, allowing the intricate embroidery to shine through. The detailing — fine pearls, bugle beads, and glass beads — were laid down meticulously, especially on the blouse, which formed the focal point of the look.
Described as a “draped string touch neck backless blouse,” the blouse was crafted like a statement jewel — using multiple strands of pearls in varying sizes to create a fluid, sculptural structure that draped the body. The result was a look that was both delicate and structured, restrained yet bold.
Minimal Styling, Maximum Impact
Tabu’s makeup, done by Mehak Oberoi, was refined and intentionally understated to let the outfit speak. Her hair was styled in a sleek, no-fuss bun, which added to the timeless quality of the look. Gold-toned heels and minimal jewellery rounded out the ensemble — making the styling intentional and measured.
Speaking of the professional front, Tabu’s last big screen release was Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, co-starring Ajay Devgn. Besides this, she also made headlines for her appearance in the American science fiction television series, Dune: Prophecy. She will be next seen in De De Pyaar De 2.
