Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan wrote a touching message in praise of his son, Abhishek Bachchan, who has recently marked 25 years in the film industry.
Amitabh Bachchan pens inspiring note to son Abhishek Bachchan: “Never give up”
“The core of life is to NEVER GIVE UP .. keep fighting until the very end…you might win or you might lose…BUT WHAT MATTERS IS THAT YOU FOUGHT. The ‘pluckiest’…loser commands more respect than the ‘so called winner’…because the pluckiest loser is always remembered by the phrase – ‘he fought and almost WON’. That carries a deeper sense of achievement than the monetary benchmarks of commercial success…25 years !! that’s a remarkable accomplishment…comparing with others is a sign of weakness… the outcomes speak louder than any kind of ‘ness’,” the post began.
He added, “You, Abhishek, have always and consistently measured yourself against your own self…not many are capable of that…And with each passing day, I continue to learn more and more…People often say you’ve done enough, now it’s time to sit back and relax…NO… stepping back is a surrender in life – it means giving up…and one must NEVER GIVE UP.”
Abhishek began his acting career in 2000, starring opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Refugee. The film, directed by J.P. Dutta, cast Abhishek as an unnamed Indian Muslim who assists illegal refugees in crossing the India-Pakistan border through the Great Rann of Kutch.
His most recent project is Housefull 5, where he stars alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and others.
